Magic: Let’s eat and lose weight!

Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could eat whatever we wanted and lost weight? Well, we think it’s possible. Science has taught us that clean eating and portion control is everything. And whatever our food desires are, they generally push us towards carbohydrates or fats. Are they bad? No. Are they bad in excess quantities? Yes. Anything is.

Years of research has also taught us that there is no substitute to clean eating. How can we eat clean and still eat what we want? We think it’s by making some simple choices. Including a bit of workout, keeping a check of overall calories we are intaking and burning, eating healthy enough to fuel our body. One simple thing that our ancestors used to do to maintain energy levels and body weight was eat a lot of good fats. ‘Fat’ as a word has started scaring us a lot, but there are too many good fat sources out there for us to consume.

One such good fat source is Ghee. Ghee is a misunderstood superfood and the benefits that it has are immense. Apart from adding good fats to our body, Ghee gives us the required nutrition to not only upscale the taste, but also make us fitter and healthier!

If we can give one advice, it will be to not be scared of fat. Look for the good ones out there! Speaking of staying fit and healthy, staying healthy is generally a multidimensional approach that involves the body and the mind. Both are connected and disconnected in their own little ways, but one thing we have known over the years is that one can’t function without the other. A fit body with an unfit mind can bring war to the world. A fit mind with an unfit body doesn’t last long.

Let’s talk about being physically fit. While there are numerous theories about how to stay physically fit, there’s no denying the fact that a good diet and some workout can do wonders. They say weight management is 80% about the food we eat and 20% about the workout. There is an added perspective to that. For fitness, it’s 80% of the food we eat and 20% about the food we avoid. With so many healthy options available to us, it’s not about controlling our taste buds anymore. People can eat anything, anywhere with minimum changes that can make their ‘junk’ food a nutritious meal. Simple swaps like refined flour with wholewheat flour, not being scared of rice, doing portion control and doing what ancient India taught us – eat Ghee!
